ProjecTools Announces A New Offshore Construction Client – FloaTEC
ProjecTools is proud to announce FloaTEC as the newest ProjecTools client. FloaTEC is a Houston-based joint venture of McDermott and Keppel FELS. The company designs, builds, and delivers deep water floating production systems to the Oil & Gas industry.
FloaTEC’s industry experience and flexibility in offshore construction make them a leader in TLP (Tension Leg Platforms), Semi-Submersibles, and Spar offshore production assets. Additionally, FloaTEC’s access to Keppel FELS and McDermott’s engineering resources and shipyards allow them to produce high quality assets at yards in the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and Asia Pacific.
FloaTEC selected ProjecTools Documents and Cost Control to help manage project information and enhance collaboration among global teams. They also wanted to streamline workforce management and resource tracking. FloaTEC’s decision to implement an industry-specific and proven application like ProjecTools was driven by a commitment to standardize deliverables and improve consistency.
ProjecTools cloud software allows Oil & Gas and Capital Construction companies to manage the engineering and design project lifecycle with offshore construction industry-friendly workflows. Additionally, the online application includes partners, suppliers, and other contractors by providing online tools to efficiently manage and integrate technical and commercial project information. This integration allows ProjecTools users to report on work from multiple companies across offshore construction project disciplines.
